SES Structure

The New South Wales State Emergency Service is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to the assistance of the community.

It is almost entirely volunteer, with 232 units located throughout New South Wales.

The service has over 10,000 volunteer members available for mobilisation.

The NSW SES State Headquarters is located in Wollongong, on the NSW south coast. The state is divided into 18 regions, with Willoughby-Lane Cove being part of the Sydney Northern region. Our regional HQ is located in Hornsby.

There are 60 full-time members of the SES, mainly working in State and Divisional HQs.
