All SES volunteers are issued with their uniform and basic personal equipment.
Our standard operational uniform is:
- Orange overalls, with a reflective "SES" panel on the back.
- Blue SES T-Shirt
- Black safety boots
- Akubra style and peak cap
- PPE - gloves, goggles, glasses, helmet
- Orange wet weather jacket and trousers
- Cold weather jacket
Volunteers have the option to wear a 1 piece 'overall' style uniform or a 2 piece uniform with separate pants and jacket.
Additonal equipment may be issued for specific situations, for example chainsaw operations or extedned operations in cold areas.
Headquarters staff have an option to wear:
- Light blue shirt with SES insignia
- Navy blue trousers or skirt
- Black shoes
- Tie (optional)
